and the mediator asked us all
What is the reason
you are spending your Sunday evening
as a volunteer?

The prompt flashed by so fast
that the black letters
on white background
flickered gray
as just north of two million people
had something to say
and it was right there
at the top of mind
so easy for them to find
that when they were asked
they typed it right away
and the reasons flashed by
with no one preaching to the choir

As if
everyone was trying to find
their own way to say

I am Kamala

and the time has come
for a peaceful revolution

The highest office of American Government
The Office of Citizen
has spoken
here, and now

And in November
the best qualified candidate
in American History
will become the first
Madame President
and quite possibly
the best
